Acceptable use policy.
Effective date: 10 June 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy is part of our Terms of Service. It outlines the rules and standards for content uploaded to and activity conducted on the Curtyn platform.
1. Prohibited Content
You must not use Curtyn to host, transmit, or share any content that:
- Infringes on any third party's intellectual property rights (including copyrights, trademarks, or trade secrets).
- Contains explicit material, pornography, or sexually explicit content.
- Promotes violence, illegal activities, hate speech, discrimination, or terrorism.
- Contains malware, viruses, trojans, or any code intended to disrupt or damage systems.
- Constitutes harassment, bullying, or invasion of privacy.
2. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to engage in any of the following activities:
- Attacking, disabling, or interfering with the proper working of the Curtyn service or its associated infrastructure.
- Using the platform for spam, phishing, or unsolicited mass communications.
- Bypassing terms, billing limits, or security systems implemented to protect the Service.
- Scraping or harvesting data from the Service without permission.
3. Enforcement & Takedowns
We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to review any user-generated content. If we determine that content or activity violates this policy, we may (without prior notice) remove the content, suspend or terminate your account, and report illegal activity to law enforcement. Where we restrict content you have provided, we will give you a statement of reasons in line with our obligations under the EU Digital Services Act, unless doing so would be unlawful or compromise an investigation.
4. Notice-and-action (illegal content & copyright)
As a hosting provider established in the European Union, we operate a notice-and-action mechanism under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA). Anyone may notify us of content they consider illegal — including content that infringes intellectual property rights — by emailing support@curtyn.com. A valid notice should identify the content and its location (URL), explain why it is unlawful, and include your contact details and, where required, a statement made in good faith. We also honour copyright takedown notices in the form contemplated by the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Upon receipt of a valid notice we will act promptly to remove or disable access to the content, and we may notify the user who provided it. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
5. Contact
Questions, abuse reports, and notice-and-action requests can all be sent to our single point of contact at support@curtyn.com.
