Build an equipment list
An equipment list tracks every piece of gear your shoot needs, how much of it, and whether it is confirmed. This guide covers building one in Curtyn's Lists tool.
You'll need a project. Any project will do.
In this guide
Create an equipment list
Open Lists in the sidebar and create a new equipment list. A project can hold more than one, so a second unit or a separate location can keep its own.
Add gear by category
Enter items grouped by category: camera, lenses, lighting, grip, sound. Categories keep a long list readable and make it quick to scan for what a single department is responsible for.
Set quantities
Add a quantity to each item. Two lights, one head, a five-lens set. The numbers are what a rental house quotes against and what your crew packs against.
Track rental status
Mark each item as confirmed, on hold, or quoted. The list stops being a wishlist and becomes a status board you can act on.
Sort or scan by status before a prep day, and the gaps, the items still on hold, are the first thing you see.
Share it or export a PDF
Share the list with the crew who need it, or export a clean PDF for a rental house. The PDF carries your project's identity, so what you send out looks like your production.
